Major Depressive Disorder
A. 5 or more of the following symptoms over 2-week period. Must include at least depressed mood or loss of interest/pleasure: 1. Depressed mood 2. Anhedonia 3. Weight loss/decreased appetite 4. Insomnia or hypersomnia 5. Psychomotor agitation or slowing 6. Low energy 7. Worthlessness or guilt 8. Poor concentration 9. Suicidal ideationB. Cause functional impairment.C. Not due to substance or another medical condition.D. Not better explained by another psychiatric disorder​E. Persistent Depressive Disorder
A. Depressed mood for most days for at least 2 yearsB. Presence of 2 or more of the following when depressed: 1. Poor appetite or overeating 2. Insomnia or hypersomnia 3. Low energy 4. Low self-esteem 5. Poor concentration 6. HopelessnessC. No absence of above symptoms for more than 2 months at a time.​D. Criteria for MDD may be met for 2 years.E. No history of mania or hypomania, or cyclothymia.F. Not better explained by another psychiatric disorder.G. Not due to substance or another medical condition.H. Manic Episode
A. Distinct period of elevated, expansive, irritative mood and increased energy; lasts at least 1 weekB. During this period, 3 or more of the following (4 if mood is only irritable): 1. Grandiosity 2. Decreased need for sleep 3. Talkative or pressured speech 4. Flight of ideas 5. Distractibility 6. Increased activity or agitation 7. Risky activitiesC. Causes functional impairment.D. Not due to substances or another medical condition.
Hypomanic Episode
A. Distinct period of elevated, expansive, irritative mood and increased energy; lasts at 4 days.B. During this period, 3 or more of the following (4 if mood is only irritable): 1. Grandiosity 2. Decreased need for sleep 3. Talkative or pressured speech 4. Flight of ideas 5. Distractibility 6. Increased activity or agitation 7. Risky activitiesC. Associated with change in function.D. Change is noticeable by others.E. Not severe enough to cause marked impairment or necessitate hospitalization.F. Not due to substances or another medical condition.
Bipolar I Disorder
A. At least one manic episode.B. Not better explained by another psychiatric disorder.

Have not met diagnostic criteria for manic, hypomanic or major depressive episode.D. Not better explained by another psychiatric disorder.E. Not due to substances or another medical condition.​F. Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders

Schizophrenia
A. 2 or more of the following for most of one month; at least one must be 1, 2 or 3: 1. Delusions 2. Hallucinations 3. Disorganized speech 4. Disorganized or catatonic behaviour​ 5. Negative symptoms​B. Functional impairment.C. Signs of disturbance for at least 6 months.D. Schizoaffective disorder, depressive and bipolar disorder ruled out.E. Not due to substances or another medical condition.F. Anxiety Disorders

Panic Attack Specifier
Abrupt surge of intense fear or discomfort that peaks in minutes, and characterized by 4 or more of the following:1. Palpitations2. Sweating3. Trembling/shaking4. Shortness of breath5. Choking sensation6. Chest pain7. Nausea or abdominal upset8. Dizziness or lightheadedness9. Chills or heat sensation10. Paresthesias11. Derealization or depersonalization12. Fear of losing control13. Fear of dying
Panic Disorder
A. Recurrent unexpected panic attacks.B. At least one attack followed for at least 1 month of: 1. Persistent worry about additional panic attacks or their consequences 2. Maladaptive changes in behaviour related to these attacksC. Not due to substances or another medical condition.D. Not better explained by another psychiatric disorder.
Specific Phobia
A. Fear or anxiety about a specific situation or object. B. This object or situation provokes immediate fear/anxiety. C. This object or situation is actively avoided or endured with intense fear/anxiety. D. Fear or anxiety is out of proportion to actual danger posed by the object or situation. E. Fear or anxiety is persistent for 6 or more months. F. Causes significant functional impact.G. Generalized Anxiety Disorder
A. Excessive worry and anxiety about numerous events/activities on most days for at least 6 months.B. Difficult to control worry.C. Associated with 3 or more symptoms:1. Agoraphobia
A. Fear or anxiety about 2 or more of the following situations:1. Public transportation2. Open spaces3. Enclosed places4. Lines or crowds5. Outside of the home B. Fear or avoidance of these situations because of thoughts that escape may be difficult, help not readily available, or embarrassment.C. Situations provoke fear or anxiety. D. Situations actively avoided, require presence or a companion, or endured with intense fear or anxiety.E. Fear or anxiety is out of proportion with the actual danger posed by the situation.F. Persistent, lasting at least 6 months.G. Causes significant functional impact.H. If another medical condition is present, the fear or anxiety is clearly excessiveI.
